We offer families a secure haven where their children can engage in safe play, discover, and thrive. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional care within a nurturing and educational setting, catering to children aged 24 months to 6 years. At The Kids Corner, we emphasize the importance of learning through play, fostering age-appropriate developmental goals and milestones to support each child’s individual progress.

Yes! We undergo an annual inspection by our DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) representative, and our license is renewed every three years.

Ensuring the safety of your child is our foremost priority in addressing disciplinary matters. Each of our educators prominently displays classroom rules, which you can review and discuss with your child. These rules are regularly explained during class time and consistently upheld.

The guiding principles of The Kids Corner are as follows:
1) You will not hurt yourself.
2) You will not hurt others either physically or verbally.
3) You will not hurt the environment inside or outside.

Teachers will guide children toward alternative activities aligned with their interests whenever possible. Positive methods and language will be employed to encourage behavior change without compromising the child’s self-respect. No child will be subjected to shame or labeling due to their behavior.

We offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks, adhering to the guidelines of the food program even though we are not officially enrolled in it. Our meals align with the three components of the food pyramid, ensuring a well-rounded nutritional approach. At lunch, we provide five components, and during snack time, we offer two components for a balanced and nourishing diet.

We determine our rates for private-paying families based on the guidelines established by the state of Illinois. Additionally, we welcome families participating in childcare resource and referral programs, as well as those associated with the Department of Children and Family Services.
